The grid is a useful thing to look at but as Sue Evans pointed out it is spatially in direct opposition to the idea of network, as in transport network. This could be a productive opposition.<BR/><BR/>I would suggest that your next move would be to make a mock up version, taking just a small amount of data and mapping it in relation to one grid unit.
